In the acting process workshop I take actors through the entire process of acting in an independent film. From the audition all the way to a screening of their edited scene, actors get to experience a very real situation in which to put to practice what they've learned and sharpen the tools they know they have.

"To know is to do" - Socrates

Each actor walks away from the workshop with a DVD of their scene.

All scenes are ORIGINAL material written by me. I work with each actor to find the best scene for them to work on. Occasionally I will write new material for an actor for the workshop.

Working with ORIGINAL material allows each actor to create an original work for their reel.

During the workshop actors recieve feedback as needed.

BREAK DOWN OF THE PROCESS

AUDITION - I send you the sides and a full script, if available, and you come in and show me what you got. We then talk about and watch the footage.

FIRST REHEARSAL- In this week I work with you as a director then I give you feedback.

SECOND REHEARSAL(if needed) - I see what you have done with any direction I have given you and then give you feedback.

SHOOT - We shoot the scene. On location.

WATCH DAILIES - We watch the dailies from the shoot and talk about it.

ROUGH CUT- We watch a rough cut of the scene and talk about the decision making process I go through as an editor.

SCREENING - sit back relax and enjoy your work. invite friends or enemies and have a glass of wine. At the end of the screening I hand you a DVD of your edited scene.
